It was built by King Bhagwan Das who ruled from 1486-1568 A.D., but today there are only ruins left behind by this great king who built several temples here including one which still stands today: 

The Temple of Lord Shri Adi Shankaracharya (also known as ‘Shankara’ or ‘Chaturbhuj’). This temple can be found near Jain Mandir Mandwa road which leads towards Choti Choti Village from where it takes about 15 minutes to walk from there till you reach Osian Village itself!

Gadsisar Lake is a lake in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, India. The lake was formed by the Gadsisar Dam constructed on the River Chambal. It has an area of 49 hectares and it’s one of the most beautiful lakes in Rajasthan.


The lake is surrounded by tall mountains on all sides except for its northern side which is open to tourists who come here for camping or picnics during the summer season.

Lodurva has been identified as one of the oldest inhabited places in India and was inhabited by people since prehistoric times.[2] The place was known as Lohdruva (Sanskrit), which means “the region where elephants roam”.[3]
