Pakistan is a country with a rich history of female leaders. From the time of its independence, women have played an important role in Pakistan’s politics and society. Here are some of the most famous Pakistani women who have made their mark on the country’s history. Fatima Jinnah – Fatima Jinnah was the sister of Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She was a close advisor to her brother and played a pivotal role in the independence movement. After independence, she remained active in politics and served as the Vice-President of Pakistan from until her death.

 

Benazir Bhutto – Benazir Bhutto was the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan and also the first Muslim woman to lead a Muslim nation. She was elected Prime Minister in 1988 but was removed from office after only 20 months due to allegations of corruption. She returned to power in 1993 but was again forced out after just over two years in office.
