Trekking Friendship Peak (Detailed Itinerary)

 

  • Day 1: Delhi to Manali Other Amenities Meal

AC In the night, Volvo leaves at 6 o’clock from the location of the meeting in Delhi. The trip will take you to Manali for 12-13 hours. Travel on an AC Volvo in the evening.

 

  • Day 2: Tuesday, Manali

The lengthy 12- to 13-hour ride in the Volvo will take tourists to Manali at dawn. Visitors will be transferred to the hotel following their arrival. You are free to go exploring Manali during this time. The hotel stays open overnight.

 

  • Day 3 Manali from Solang Nala and returning in Bakerthach (3500 feet/11480 BMT)

This exciting climb to Friend Peak will start with an excursion along one of the busiest Himachal Pradesh trails. A jeep will transport passengers into Solang Valley in the early morning to check-in. Breakfast at the hotel located in Solang Valley, you will pack your things in vans before heading to Dundi in the area where the hike starts. 

The trek will begin at Palchani Tach to Bakerthach on the third day. The rest of the day could be used by trekkers to explore Bakerthach. In the camp of Bakerthach, there is a meal available.

 

  • Day 4: Bakertach Camp: Beas Kund Base Camp, 3690m

Trekkers begin their trek towards Beas Kund, a sacred river located in Himachal Pradesh, after breakfast. Beas Kund has become a popular stopover with numerous hiking trails that include Shitidhar, Ladakh, and Manali. It is the Beas Kund Glacier that is seen along the way in the direction of Base Camp. In the camp, meals and lunch will be provided.

 

  • Day 5: A long day spent at Beas Kund Base Camp

After breakfast, visitors take part in a session of training in which they will be taught how to operate the equipment. The instructors in this training course will make sure you are prepared for the snowy glaciers. You could need to cross in the next few days. Give yourself time to familiarize yourself with crampons, boots, and harnesses. You’ll become familiar with the tools and can efficiently stop slope falls.

  • Day 06: Camp advance from Base camp

The hike will last approximately 4-5 hours until you reach Advanced Base Camp, following breakfast. The view from Advanced Base Camp is breathtaking set among the mountain ranges. It is where trekkers prepare their gear as they enjoy the stunning views that the mountains offer.

 

  • Day 07: Reserve for summit efforts at Bakarthach

The trek to the summit begins before dawn at 3 a.m. You’ll need to hike for about six hours to the top starting from your base camp. There are many crevasses, glaciers, and snow peaks during this strenuous trek. It is possible to get to the top by 9 in the morning if all goes to plan. Visitors will enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, towns such as Lahaul & Spiti, and Manali from the top of the mountain.

 

  • Day 08

Return to Manali

Return on the same path to the city. Breakfast is served on the 8th day, hikers will head down to Dhundi the trailhead. There is a chance to explore Manali following lunch.   • Day 09: Delhi and Manali
