If you love vegetarian food, you’re going to love Gwalior, India. The city has some of the most amazing veg restaurants you’ll ever come across and they are all located in different parts of the city, so you’ll have plenty of choices no matter what neighborhood you choose to stay in while visiting Gwalior. This guide will tell you all about the best vegetarian restaurants in Gwalior and where they are located so that you can enjoy the best food possible during your visit!

Aloo Chaat

One of my favorite restaurants in Gwalior. It has a really nice ambiance and amazing food. The tarkari they serve at Aloo Chaat is so delicious that you will never want to go back to any other restaurant. It’s one of those restaurants where you get, vegetarian food that is equally good. I highly recommend giving it a try if you’re ever visiting Gwalior! And not just that, every single dish is prepared with utmost care. You can easily tell that each meal has been made by hand rather than using machines or mixers. So much love goes into their food!

I have tried many dishes from here but my all-time favorites are Tandoori roti and Paneer butter masala. Other dishes include Channa Bhuna Masala, Munchorian Fried Rice, and Dal Makhani which are also very tasty. And when I say tasty, I mean extremely tasty! There’s nothing better than having food prepared with such love right?

Amritsari Thali

If you want to eat healthy and vegetarian, there’s a whole world of fantastic cuisine awaiting you! Here are a few of our favorite Alfanzo restaurants in Gwalior. For great food at reasonable prices, Amritsari Thali is a great choice. This vegetarian restaurant serves delicious North Indian food that will leave your taste buds wanting more. The thalis here are delicious and well-priced, so it’s perfect if you’re looking for an affordable place to grab lunch or dinner with friends or family. What makes Amritsari Thali stand out from other vegetarian restaurants in Gwalior is its extensive menu—there are over 50 different dishes on offer here! That means you can easily find something new to try every time you visit. Another thing we love about Amritsari Thali is that it has plenty of vegetarian options for those who follow a vegan diet, too. From daal makhani (lentils cooked in butter) to paneer tikka masala (chunks of homemade cheese cooked in tomato sauce), there’s plenty here for vegans as well as meat-eaters alike. In fact, we found everything on offer at Amritsari Thali to be tasty and fresh—the food really hits the spot!

Masala Dosa

Dosa is one of India’s favorite foods, and people from all over India travel to restaurants like Alfanzo to enjoy a delicious, spicy dosa with all of their favorite fillings. Try out Masala Dosa at these best vegetarian restaurants in Gwalior. The crispy exterior gives way to a soft, steaming interior filled with potatoes, onions, spices, etc. If you can’t get enough of it when you visit Alfanzo, try making your own at home! This recipe will give you step-by-step instructions on how to make masala dosas that are every bit as good as what you can find in Gwalior. The only thing missing will be some good company!

Veg Cutlet

Cutlets are loved by one and all, be it veg! These are quick and easy to make as they are made using potatoes and peas. There is no need to add any oil while cooking these. The good thing about cutlets is that they can be made of a variety of vegetables like potato, paneer (cottage cheese), cauliflower, onion, and capsicum. Many times, you can even stuff them with paneer or grated cheese for added flavor. Here we have shared an alfanzo restaurant recipe of Veg Cutlet which has been tried and tested at home and also in restaurants. This recipe will serve 4 people. You can use whole wheat bread slices instead of maida bread slices for making cutlets healthier. To make an eggless vegetarian cutlet use 3/4 cup curd instead of eggs.

Papri Chaat

While chaat means street food in Hindi, papri chaat is a very specific type of dish that hails from North India. Many restaurants will offer a version of papri chaat on their menus, but we recommend you try it at its most authentic—like at Alfanzo. At Alfanzo, they put chickpeas and potatoes together to make two dishes that are out of this world: Papri Chaat and Aloo Chaat (which also includes yogurt). Both will blow your mind with their complex mix of flavors and textures. The potatoes are crushed with spices and served cold, topped with warm chickpeas and boiled green chilies, along with coriander leaves, chopped onions, cilantro leaves, and roasted Indian-style peanuts. If you’re going to have one meal while visiting Gwalior, make sure it’s these two!

Dal Makhani

Located on Jai Singh Road, in north Gwalior, Dal Makhani is a 100% vegetarian restaurant that specializes only in food from Uttar Pradesh. Dal Makhani is another must-try restaurant for anyone visiting not just because of its good reputation but also because it serves some of Alfanzo best vegetarian food including its signature dish. The restaurant itself sits within a large complex and doesn’t look like much from the outside but step inside and you’ll find a typical northern Indian setup with seating arrangements divided into two sections—one serving traditional north Indian cuisine and the other strictly fast food. If you want to try out some local dishes, go for it! But if you prefer your meat, there are plenty of vegetarian options here too so don’t be afraid to ask. Also, make sure you order some samosas while you wait—they’re delicious!
